I am a retired school psychologist, having worked in the public schools for thirty years. I have always enjoyed viewing art and creating art in various forms. I have enjoyed coloring, painting, and creating beaded jewelry. Since the beginning of Covid, my creativity has really sparked. I started decorating Christmas trees for different times of the year and painting rocks. I began creating art with food in December 2021, creating various charcuterie boards. In 2024, I discovered the Japan store on Amazon. I bought some items in May of 2024, including cute rice molds and sandwich cutters. I finally had the opportunity to visit Japan in June that year. Going to Japan, I was inspired by the animal and character cafes and the cute presentation of food. In July 2024, I purchased two books on creating bento boxes. I continued to buy a lot of merchandise, including bento boxes, molds, and picks. I started creating bentos in July 2024 and have continued to enjoy creating food art with character and animal themes and for various holidays.
